Facility Engineer (NC-1)

• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a Data Center or other applicable position preferred
• Advanced knowledge of medium (25kV) and low (120/208 and 277/480) volt systems including UPS, PDU, transformer, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of generators
• Advanced knowledge of CRAH systems
• License facilities operation trade in mechanical, electrical or HVAC in one or more areas preferred
• Able to apply basic computer knowledge and experience in order to facilitate the ticket process

The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Due to the nature of the position, must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and must be able to work a flexible work schedule, may include nights, weekends, holidays, etc.

• Ensure proper distribution of power within the facility and to equipment racks
• Ensure prompt repair of any failed or degraded equipment
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all equipment
• Ensure prompt repair of any failed or degraded equipment
• Manage contractors and vendors that perform work in the Data Centers
• Institute and maintain maintenance contracts for equipment
